Car Insurance for Young Drivers

Hunting for young drivers auto insurance? It is a good idea to discover as much as possible before comparing insurance quotes.

You can save a lot of time and money, if you know what factors are influence young drivers auto insurance rates. At the end of the day, you will find cheaper insurance.

It is astonishing that the majority of people pay substantially more than they really need to for their auto insurance . Quite often this can be easily avoided by simply comparing quotes online.

As you probably know young drivers auto insurance can be very expensive. In order to find the best combination of good coverage and cheap insurance rates, you have to go the extra mile.

A big problem for all new drivers is the fact that they don't have any driving history. Sadly, there is not really a lot that can be done about it.

The majority of insurers treat all inexperienced drivers the same way in the high-risk category. Statistics clearly show that because of their inexperience drivers under the age of 25 are approximately 3 times more likely to be responsible for an accident compared to a diver over 60.

It is not surprising that a huge number of careful young drivers feel 'punished' by the insurance companies. In the eyes of many, having to pay up to $5000 per year is like a penalty. Of course, there are things that can be done to help the situation.

You can lower your insurance rates if you maintain good grades at school, drive an "insurance friendly" vehicle and reduce your yearly mileage. Did you know that some insurance companies do offer a discount up to 25% for students with an average grade of B.

Establishing an excellent driving record should be the focus for every young driver. Keep in mind that a single traffic violation may significantly set you back on your quest for better insurance rates. Some insurance companies will go as far as doubling your rates on the back of an accident.

It is a good idea for parents to monitor their son or daughters driving habits and behaviour on the road. Encouraging proper driving practices will help your son or daughter to establish a good driving record and help avoid future accidents.

Make sure you check if your state has any regulations and safety laws which apply to young drivers. There are passengers restrictions in the states of Georgia and New Jersey, Florida (see Florida young drivers auto insurance) and California have night driving restrictions for young drivers.

Most states will also require you to complete a certain number of hours in an education course before you can apply for drivers license.

Compare car insurance quotes for young drivers now and you could save up to 35% per year!

Am I a... Shopoholic? No, I am Not!

Well! I know everyone want to have stuff, everybody love shopping.. well maybe some more than others, but you got my point. I love purchasing stuff - clothes, cosmetics, accessories, stuff for my spouse and kids, stuff for my home..

Maybe I am not exactly hard shopoholic, because I can control myself.. sometimes, but as everyone I have my weaknesses too. :) My family always are joking with me when I came home with few full bags..

So, my spouse and my first child - girl was born on the same date and month (different years of obviously). I am organizing a party for two of them, but I am still not ready with the gifts.

And today I was wondering what I should get them. What will make them happy? I have a few ideas for my girl and several for my spouse, which I want to share with you.

For my little woman (almost 15 years old) I will probably get some beauty roducts, because she is so into makeup, maybe too early, but she is a smart kid.. but my bigger surprise for her is a cute pink Toshiba mini laptop.. and of course some clothes and I don't know. Whatever I liked..

My spouse has a sport nature and right know he is training for his first triathlon.. So I was wondering to buy him some rocking tri bars or maybe some cool and sexy triathlon wetsuit or some gadgets..

I have so many ideas.. I will continue my search online and will write again, after the party, what was the actual gifts and what my family said about them :)

Driving with no insurance in the state of Florida is against the law

Do you drive with no auto insurance in the Sunshine State? What will happen to you when you get caught? Do you think you don't really need a car insurance just because you are a careful driver?

Before anything else, there is something important you must know. In Florida, as in each and every American state, its against the law to drive without insurance.

The authorities consider it a crime and you will face charged when you get caught. Frequently, law enforcement agents do check people's auto insurance policies.

Of course, taking away your drivers license is just the beginning. You will also have to pay a fine to reinstate your drivers license.

You may be given a penalty between $150 and $500, depending on previous traffic violations.

Apart from the fact that its illegal, driving without auto insurance in the Sunshine State is a bad idea.

One look at the statistics shows that uninsured drivers are at fault in most serious accidents on the roads of Florida.

SR-22 Form California - All you need to know

California Insurance Proof Certificate

Insurance policy which requires the filling of an SR22 form is often called a SR22 insurance.

Your insurance company has to submit this form to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), if you are required to provide a proof of financial responsibility.

Note that a copy of your insurance or your insurance card can not replace an SR22 form and will not be accepted by the DMV as an adequate proof.

In California the minimum insurance requirements are:

* $15,000 for injury/death to one person
* $30,000 for injury/death to more than one person
* $5,000 for damage to property

Who is SR22 insurance for?

In most case an SR22 form is required for one of two reasons. DUI, driving under the influence is probably the most common reason. Causing an accident while driving without insurance is the other.

In both cases your driving privilege will be suspended. As you probably know, California has one of the toughest car insurance laws. You will have to participate in a DUI program, but the worse part is that DUI conviction may even mean going to jail. One year without a license is the punishment for driving without insurance.

What is the SR22 filling period?

3 years is the period during which you will have to maintain a proof of financial responsibility. To get your drivers license reinstated, you will also have to pay the necessary fees. During these 3 years, you will be considered as a "high risk" driver.

If your filling period expires or your auto insurance in cancelled, the DMV will be notified by your insurance company. Remember that you will lose you license if SR26 form is submitted and your filling period hasn't expired yet.

Another important point is that California SR22 insurance is only valid for CA, because SR22 is state specific. If you move to another state, you will have to obtain another policy.

The reality of the situation is that SR22 means higher insurance premiums. Shopping around for the cheapest option is your only choice. Compare California SR22 insurance quotes online and you can save yourself up to 35%!

Garmin eTrex Venture Reviews

I purchased this unit several weeks ago, have used it a lot so far, and I'm very pleased with its performance.

The Venture has an easy to see and read color screen and comes pre-installed with a basemap that is basically entirely useless. If you want to do any serious hill and hiking geocaching you need to get the topographic maps that Garmin offers. These are expensive, but are pretty much necessary when navigating terrain and trails with changes in elevation. I can recall several instances when I needed to check elevation levels to make sure I was on the right trail to get to the cache I was chasing.

The Venture HC is also great for amateur astronomers. My computerized telescope needs to know lat/long/time to accurately slew to and track objects in the sky. I can get coordinates on standard addresses on geocoder.us, but if I just want to set up at a dark site somewhere, a GPS is a must.

I think those are the major differences in the newest eTrex models, they basically work the same and have the same receiver. Garmin's website lets you compare features on different models, and you can read the manuals there.

If you need a great unit for caching, consider the Venture HC.
